Jake's 1st post

Today I went to chess club and had some challenges to only pick 1 piece and you'd get both black and white pieces. For example, if you had 2 queens and somebody else got one of your queens, they would win because it's considered impossible if you only have one piece.

1st day of school

Tough start to the day after a summer of no alarm clocks...

 After school play in the muga (multi-use-games-area) was much better:)

After school swimming lessons followed by dinner at nandos in jammies:)

Alice in Wonderland

We went on a bit of a mushroom hunt in the countryside with our friends The Jollys, who have moved out of the big smoke, sniff, sniff:( 

The pièce de résistance was the red toadstool with white spots! Amazing and did not actually believe they existed out of fairytales!

Jake ignored request to wear wellies, so when the muddy puddles became unbearably tempting, off came the shoes and socks and mud between toes was delightful!

Lamda Success

So proud today, these certificates presented in drama club and are from last term when they both recited a poem and were graded by Lamda! (London Academy of Music and Fine Arts)
50% of the grade was based on your conversation with the examiner about a toy/book they brought in. The rest was 25% was poem interpretation and 25% poem technique, so serious stuff especially for a 5 and 8 year old:)
We celebrated next door to the school at jacks with burgers and chips and milkshakes! Ollie kept eating until he said 'Mum,I'm as stuffed as a teddy bear!'
