Trip to the local fire station in west hampstead last weekend was an easy one to entertain Jake & Ollie. Both took turns driving, and learned that the button for the siren (nee-no) is on the floor next to the brake pedal.
Crane below was a hit, chicken in the crane was not...
Ollie and I went to 'basketball wheelchair' as he calls it during the paralympics. We watched Canada vs China (women) and Poland vs Germany (men). Our tickets were general admission, so we lucked out and made it to the front row! We could hear the clash of the wheelchairs and everything! Ollie was clutching his mascot mandeville and cheering with everyone. He even made it on the jumbotron:)

The excitement grew as the Canadian men advanced to the final, of which our friend Kiersten's cousin (Bo Hedges) was co-captain! Her mom Rosi had been here supporting the team through the games and Kiersten arrived the day of the gold medal match. She was able to score 2 tickets, so Rich was her date for the evening, and they even celebrated with the team in a pub after their gold medal win over Australia!
