1,2,3

Ollie likes order.  He likes to know what we are going to do in the day, and what order it will occur.  He also keeps tabs on who is in each family, and what house number they live in.  This morning I told him I'd be picking him up early from nursery, so we could get Jake and all go to a friends birthday party at the Diner.

He held up 3 fingers and said, 'Ok, free things mum!' 'What 3 things Ollie?'  'Diss one is pick up from nusawee, this is get Jakey from coo-ole, and den this is we go to the dinah.'

Year 1

Jake's first week of year 1 (grade 1) went great!  He was nervous beforehand, but liked to hear that everybody else would be a little bit scared on the first day too.  There are 3 year 1 classes of 30 kids each, and they mixed them up a bit from last year.   So, if you take a look at the picture below, you can see he was very happy that some of his best girl friends would be in 1A too.   Ollie gave him a big cuddle before he went in which must have helped with his nerves:)

After school, I asked him what rules the teacher went over with the class, and he said, 'we don't have any rules yet, its just the first day!'
