Devon

Yes, we did luck out with better than summer (29 degrees!) weather in October when we headed down to a little piece of heaven in Southwest England.  It could have been Portugal with its dramatic red rock and vast coastlines.  Grannie Annie has arrived in the UK and we wanted to get away from the big smoke for the weekend together.  We stayed at a place called Mazzard Farm which had everything we could want...perfect for kids, a garage full of toys, trails to explore, treehouses, chickens & rabbits to feed, and the apple trees were a hit with Oliver as he collected the fallen apples in a wagon.  We played on some very sandy/muddy beaches, got knocked over by some waves, and ate very well...scones and clotted cream on arrival, bbq, and we treated ourselves to cottage pie and apple crumble prepared by a local chef which was waiting in our fridge when we got home from the beach on our last night!  Definitely a place to return to!

Jake very pleased to push the timer for the group shot:)
