Olympics - Usain Bolt

On the Monday evening - we were there at the victory ceremony where he was presented with gold for 100m!  

The next morning, we were back at athletics to see Usain race in his 200m heat.  The crowd went wild when he came out, he posed for the camera, and made the volunteer's day by giving him his hat.

Olympics - Canoe Slalom (K1)

From our flat, it took us approx 2 hours to get to the man-made course.  Its about 30km north of Olympic Park at Lee Valley White Water Centre.  And after 3 trains, 1 lost umbrella, another 20 min walk, it was worth it!  Thankfully we had the scooter to help and a giant chair and ice cream truck to keep us (Jake) going:)

Secretly happy that Rob arrived from Calgary just in time to go along with Rich to this event rather than Jake!  Fact you may not have known is that Rich was on the wrestling team in high school...maybe not in the same weight class as these guys:)
