When in Rome...

Ok, we're in Britain, and it rains here, A LOT!!! So, wellies and raincoats are essential in every kids wardrobe just to make it through winter.

Once Jake got over his initial dislike of his new raincoat, he couldn't have had more fun in the puddles;-) Now, he wants to wear his raincoat everywhere!

Swimming

The sign says it all....and at his age, not so much lessons, really parents in the water trying to hold on to slippery toddlers while singing british versions of songs I thought I knew the words to!


So this was the best I could do as no cameras are allowed by the pool...worried about taking pics of other people's kids I guess. And then putting them up on someone's blog maybe? hehe


Jake's good at splashing, dunking, lunging after balls, and he refuses to wear arm bands/water wings for the moment... but his absolute favourite part of the lesson is the shower afterwards, he usually stands under it for 5-10 minutes. He looks so much like his cousin Bren here!

Eggs

Love this one

Not much new over here...trying to entertain Jake indoors while its frosty outside... Here he is helping daddy in the kitchen cracking eggs for breakfast burritos! Since yellow (halow!) is his favourite word, this was really exciting in Jake's world:)

He is trying to talk to us a bit more, still prefers to grunt rather than try and say the word though. A few other words he loves to say are backpack (bac-bac) moon (mooooon),more (mo!) and please (peeezzzzz!)

Scrub a dub dub

How nice that Lincoln invited Jake for pizza, bubble bath, stories and a place to sleep while their parents enjoyed a late dinner and wine downstairs:) The bath pics made me smile, so you get to see them too!






We all enjoyed the holidays, definitely eating and drinking enough...Jake even learned a new word...beeee! (beer) Yes I'm so proud.... Happy New Year!!!
