Teeth already?

Yes - I'm afraid its true, Jake is teething, and his bottom 2 are officially in! I was hoping we might get up to sleeping through the night before they made their appearance, but no such luck! If you look closely, Jake is proudly displaying his new friends in this picture. If you click on the picture, you can see a larger view:)

Jake had a wonderful time getting to know his Polistac grandparents over the past 2 weeks:) They were a big help - assembling furniture, gardening, cleaning, cooking, babysitting, changing nappies and letting mum (aka me!) get some much needed sleep! You are welcome back anytime!!


We spent their last weekend in the cotswolds, under an umbrella for most of the weekend unfortunately, (where is summer?!?) but still able to enjoy the beautiful countryside, thatched rooftops, and quaint villages.

Kew Gardens

We spent the day at beautiful Kew Gardens, our favourite place being the lilypad house, which was surrounded by chili peppers! (quite the combo) The palm house (thousands of varieties of palm trees as you might have guessed) was also spectacular!

The top photo is some variety of ginger - looks kind of like honeycomb to me...

Polistac Posting

The Polistac's have arrived to meet their 3rd grandson! Jake was full of smiles for Grannie Annie and relaxed with Grandpa Gerry. Unfortunately, his smiles disappeared when we took him for his 3 month immunizations today - one in each leg, not so much fun... oh well, the extra cuddles from his grandparents cheered him up in no time!

Jake has had lots of visitors over the past couple of weeks, some have flown in from other countries just to say Hi! We don't have pictures of everyone, but thanks for making the effort to meet our little man:)

Best Buddies

Jake invited his friend Lincoln over for lunch this week - was fun to see them checking each other out. Was a definite photo op when they started to hold hands after we propped them up together on the couch:)
